SINGTEX®, a sustainable manufacturer company of outdoor functional fabrics recently announced an innovative technology “STORMFLEECE™” to replace traditional soft-shell fabrics in 2018. “STORMFLEECE™” is a single-layer woven fabric with technical attributes that passes rain test and provides thermal insulation properties. SINGTEX® product line has continued to upgrade and is the reason that SINGTEX® has received ISPO Textrends Top 10 and 3 selections awards for five consecutive years.
STORMFLEECE™ has received a statement from Premiere Vision last year ”Huggably soft…technical fabrics that are cozy, like plush toys for children”. PERFORMANCE DAYS awarded STORMFLEECE™ because manufacturing process reduces carbon foot prints and the amount of chemical use. For consecutive years, STORMFLEECE™ has also received awards by ISPO Textrends this year being selection for Eco Era. Compared to traditional soft-shell fabrics, STORMFLEECE™ doesn’t need lamination during production which results in less fiber loss into the ocean.
S.Café® AIRMEM™, the membrane produced from the oil of post-consumed coffee grounds replaces 25 % of petroleum use for traditional membrane manufacturing. With these findings, S.Café® AIRMEM™ received USDA bio-based certification. The results have been effective when applied to water and windproof jackets. The following product lines (S3W-20373SC02, S3W-1964SC0) were selected by ISPO Textrends for the ECO ERA and Top 10 categories.
SINGTEX® continues to upgrade manufacturing technology to offer multiple textile markets a sustainable and one-stop complete solution. Examples of SINGTEX® sustainable upgrades by using water-saving dyeing machines, the result produces 70 % less polluted water during the complete dyeing process. The continuous expansion of technology towards yarn texturizing and designing enhances the exclusiveness of SINGTEX® yarns and fabrics.
